Health and Safety Administrator/SHEQ Advisor We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company who are looking for an organised and proactive Health & Safety Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Health & Safety experience who is looking to develop their career within a busy construction environment. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Health & Safety team, helping to ensure that health and safety documentation, records and processes are maintained to a high standard across construction projects and site operations. Key Responsibilities * Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Health & Safety team and wider construction operations. * Maintain accurate Health & Safety records, registers, databases and documentation. * Assist with the preparation, updating and distribution of Health & Safety documentation. * Support the administration of risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments and other relevant Health & Safety documents. * Maintain records relating to site inspections, audits, incidents, near misses and corrective actions. * Track outstanding Health & Safety actions and follow up with relevant site and project teams. * Assist with arranging and coordinating Health & Safety inspections, audits, meetings and site visits. * Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations and Health & Safety performance information. * Maintain training, induction and competency records, ensuring certificates and documentation remain up to date. * Support the onboarding and administration of new employees and site personnel. * Assist with incident and accident administration, ensuring relevant information and documentation is recorded accurately. * Liaise with site managers, project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders regarding Health & Safety documentation and requirements. * Maintain electronic and paper filing systems in line with company procedures. * Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Health & Safety function. * Ensure Health & Safety information is kept accurate, confidential and readily accessible. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Previous Health & Safety administration experience, ideally within the construction industry. * Experience working within a construction, civil engineering, building or related environment. * A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and documentation. * Experience maintaining Health & Safety records, registers and compliance documentation. * Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. * Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with site and office-based teams. * The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team. * Relevant Health & Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or similar would be advantageous, but are not essential depending on experience. * Previous experience within a construction Health & Safety role is highly desirable.
