I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a leading contractor on a high-profile residential apartment development in Manchester. This role will focus on managing the external works package, so I'm keen to speak with Site Managers who have a proven track record of delivering external works on residential schemes.
The Role
- Overseeing all external works on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all external works packages from start through to completion.
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in line with programme.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality.
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks.
- Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Monitoring progress and resolving any site issues proactively.
- Ensuring accurate site records and reporting.
Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Site Manager on residential apartment developments.
- Strong background managing external works, including:
- Roads and sewers
- Hard and soft landscaping
- Kerbing and paving
- Drainage
- Utilities and service installations
- Boundary treatments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Able to drive programme while maintaining quality and safety.
