Our client, a building developer/contractor, is seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major residential development in Portsmouth. This is a key role supporting the financial management and delivery of a multi-phase housing project consisting of private housing and apartments.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement and payments
- Support monthly valuations, cost reporting, and forecasting
- Help manage budgets, variations, and cash flow
- Attend site meetings and liaise with site and design teams
- Maintain accurate records and assist with final accounts
What We're Looking For:
- 2-4 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role (contractor or developer side)
- HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Confident communicator, well-organised, with good commercial awareness
- Proficient in Excel; experience with construction management software is a plus
