About the Role
Were looking for a hands-on, organised Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of small works projects across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. These projects typically range up to £100K in value, including refurbishments, maintenance works, minor construction, and fit-outs.
Youll be responsible for running 3 to 6 projects simultaneously, taking ownership of the commercial management from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cost planning, procurement, and budget control for multiple small-scale projects.
- Manage subcontractor packages, payments, and variations.
- Liaise directly with clients, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
- Ensure commercial practices meet contractual and company standards.
- Respond quickly to changing project demands and maintain a strong grip on costs and timeframes.
About You
- Minimum 3+ years of QS experience, ideally in a small works or maintenance environment.
- Confident managing multiple concurrent projects with values up to £100K.
- Familiarity with JCT contracts (minor works and intermediate forms).
- Comfortable working independently and making commercial decisions.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Based in or within commutable distance to Liverpool.
