The predicted salary is between 23 - 25 £ per hour.
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build residential housing scheme in Leeds on a freelance basis. This is a key role on-site, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the project, from groundworks through to final handover. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and proactive manager with a strong background in housebuilding and a commitment to quality, health & safety, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
- Manage subcontractors and ensure works are completed safely and to a high standard
- Monitor progress against the programme and report to senior management
- Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and enforce site health & safety standards
- Maintain site records and ensure compliance with NHBC/building regulations
- Liaise with suppliers, local authorities, and internal teams
Requirements:
- CSCS (ideally Black)
- First Aid at Work – essential
- Proven experience managing new build housing sites (volume or bespoke)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Able to start immediately or at short notice
