Social Housing Site Manager β New Build
Our client is an established and reputable North West contractor with a strong track record delivering new build social housing developments across the region. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager with timber frame experience to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities on a new build timber frame housing development
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure programme targets are achieved
- Oversee timber frame installation and sequencing with specialist subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, RAMS, and site procedures
- Maintain quality control in line with NHBC standards and building regulations
- Monitor progress, manage site logistics, and report to the project team
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
- Manage snagging, testing, and final handover
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential new build projects
- Timber frame construction experience essential
- Experience delivering social / affordable housing schemes preferred
- Strong knowledge of NHBC standards, building regulations, and site management processes
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively
Qualifications
- SMSTS β Essential
- CSCS Card (Black/Manager level preferred)
- First Aid at Work
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent (desirable)
