Overview

Social Housing Site Manager – New Build

Our client is an established and reputable North West contractor with a strong track record delivering new build social housing developments across the region. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager with timber frame experience to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site construction activities on a new build timber frame housing development
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure programme targets are achieved
  • Oversee timber frame installation and sequencing with specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, RAMS, and site procedures
  • Maintain quality control in line with NHBC standards and building regulations
  • Monitor progress, manage site logistics, and report to the project team
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
  • Manage snagging, testing, and final handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential new build projects
  • Timber frame construction experience essential
  • Experience delivering social / affordable housing schemes preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NHBC standards, building regulations, and site management processes
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively

Qualifications

  • SMSTS – Essential
  • CSCS Card (Black/Manager level preferred)
  • First Aid at Work
  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent (desirable)
