Job Title: Senior Site Manager – New Build Housing Location: Winsford, Cheshire Rate: £260 – £280 per day Job Type: Temporary (6–12 months, with potential for extension) Start Date: ASAP Company Overview: We’re working on behalf of one of the largest and most respected Housing Associations in the UK, known for delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and community-focused developments. They are currently seeking a highly capable Senior Site Manager to oversee a live new build housing scheme in Winsford, with a particular focus on groundworks, technical drawings, and subcontractor coordination. Role Overview: This is a key site leadership role that requires strong technical construction knowledge and hands-on site management expertise. The successful candidate will play a central role in the delivery of the scheme — ensuring programme deadlines, safety standards, and build quality are maintained at all times. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all on-site construction activity, from groundworks through to final snagging and handover * Interpret and work from detailed construction drawings and specifications * Ensure all subcontractors are coordinated effectively and delivering to schedule * Conduct regular site inspections, enforce health & safety regulations, and lead on toolbox talks * Maintain detailed site records and ensure full compliance with NHBC and building control standards * Liaise with technical teams, design coordinators, and client-side project managers * Monitor progress, address issues proactively, and report to senior stakeholders Requirements: * Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on complex new build residential schemes * Strong technical understanding of groundworks, foundations, and structural sequencing * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications with confidence * CSCS (Black Card idealy), SMSTS, and First Aid – mandatory * Track record of successful subcontractor management and programme delivery * Experience working with or for a housing association or public-sector developer is highly desirable * Professional, organized, and solutions-focused approach What’s on Offer: * Competitive hourly rate: £260 – £270 per day, depending on experience * Opportunity to work with a nationally recognized housing provider * Long-term project with future schemes in the pipeline * Supportive and professional project team * On-site parking and mileage allowance available #WeAreFootprint #Construction #NewOpportunities
