Freelance Site Engineer for Commercial Construction Projects in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer based in or around Sheffield who is looking for long-term freelance work, with the potential for up to two years of continuous work for the right candidate.
The Role
Working as part of a well-established site team, you will be responsible for the engineering and setting out requirements across multiple commercial build projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works on site
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records
- Quality assurance and quality control checks
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams
- Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications
- Supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on commercial construction projects
- Strong setting out and surveying experience
- Proficient with relevant surveying equipment
