Freelance Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Fit-Out

Our client, a reputable North West Contractor, are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team.

The role will be delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across Manchester and the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS with a proven background in CAT A and CAT B office fit-outs, workplace refurbishments and commercial interiors.

Manage the commercial aspects of multiple fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account.

  • Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
  • Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, site teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining commercial performance.

Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience.

  • Strong commercial fit-out/interiors experience (CAT A & CAT B preferred).
  • Experience managing projects ranging from £250k to £5m.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and commercial management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard QS/commercial software.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Competitive day rate dependent on experience.
