We are partnering with a reputable and well-established construction contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across the North West. Schemes range up to £15 million, covering commercial, residential, public sector, and mixed-use developments.

This role offers exposure to varied, challenging projects and the opportunity to develop within a supportive, progressive commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects from initial tender through to final account
  • Prepare and analyse cost plans, bills of quantities, valuations, and variations
  • Procure subcontractors and negotiate packages
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure cost control and value engineering
  • Attend client and progress meetings, providing clear commercial updates
  • Support risk management, contractual compliance, and dispute resolution where required
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of all commercial documentation
About You
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
  • Background working on new build and/or refurbishment projects up to £15m
  • Strong commercial acumen with sound understanding of JCT contracts
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects and meet deadlines
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence required
