PROJECT MANAGER

Our client, a successful and reputable building contractor, are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major high‑rise residential development in the heart of Manchester.

This is a pivotal role, ideal for a construction professional with a strong track record in delivering multi‑storey residential or mixed‑use schemes from inception to completion.

You will work with a reputable developer/main contractor on a landmark project, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, programme, and cost control are maintained throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the high‑rise residential project from pre‑construction through to handover.
• Coordinate and lead multi‑disciplinary project teams including consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, planning regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Track project progress against key milestones and manage risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, procurement schedules, and change control processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering high‑rise residential or mixed‑use schemes (£20M+ value).
• Minimum 5+ years\’ experience in a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager role.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (preferred).
