PROJECT MANAGER
Our client, a successful and reputable building contractor, are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major high‑rise residential development in the heart of Manchester.
This is a pivotal role, ideal for a construction professional with a strong track record in delivering multi‑storey residential or mixed‑use schemes from inception to completion.
You will work with a reputable developer/main contractor on a landmark project, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, programme, and cost control are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of the high‑rise residential project from pre‑construction through to handover.
- Coordinate and lead multi‑disciplinary project teams including consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, planning regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Track project progress against key milestones and manage risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, procurement schedules, and change control processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering high‑rise residential or mixed‑use schemes (£20M+ value).
- Minimum 5+ years\’ experience in a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager role.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and health & safety legislation.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (preferred).
