About the role

We Are Footprint is hiring a dedicated M&E temporary recruitment consultant to grow and own a specialist mechanical & electrical desk within our construction division. This role is not replacing someone and not inheriting a problem desk. We already work with warm M&E clients and are now ring-fencing the work under one owner so it can scale properly. You’ll be supported by strong in-house compliance, payroll, and operational teams — allowing you to focus on delivery, client relationships, and building contractor numbers.

Key responsibilities

  • Supplying M&E temporary labour into live construction projects
  • Developing existing client relationships and expanding site coverage
  • Building and maintaining a reliable subcontractor base
  • Managing margins, fill ratios, and contractor retention
  • Working closely with ops to ensure smooth weekly delivery
  • Supporting client-led social value initiatives in small, practical ways

  • Experience in construction or M&E temporary recruitment
  • Comfortable owning a desk and being accountable for results
  • Commercially aware — understands volume, margin, and risk
  • Proactive, phone-led, and delivery focused
