We are currently working with a leading North West Contractor who are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a £30 million, 12‐storey residential apartment scheme in Manchester.

This is a high‐profile, city‐centre development requiring a strong on‐site leader with proven experience managing multi‐storey residential projects, coordinating trades, and maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality, and programme control.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, taking full responsibility for day‐to‐day site operations through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Day‐to‐day management of site activities and workforce

Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site logistics

Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

Implementing and maintaining health & safety standards and site compliance

Managing quality control, inspections, and snagging processes

Monitoring progress against the construction programme and reporting issues

Ensuring compliance with building regulations, drawings, and specifications

Maintaining site records, RAMS, permits, and site documentation

Supporting commissioning, testing, and final handover activities

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on multi‐storey residential projects (high‐rise experience preferred)

Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and logistics in urban environments

Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors and direct labour

Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations and site management procedures

Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical information

Strong communication and leadership skills

NVQ Level 6 / HNC / HND / Degree in Construction or similar (desirable)
