Temporary Site Manager - New Build Housing

Location: Galgate, Lancaster

Rate: £250 per day

Duration: Minimum 3-4 Month Contract (Potential to Extend)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build housing scheme in Galgate, Lancaster. This is a temporary position offering at least a few months' work, with the opportunity to see the project through key delivery stages. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring the programme, quality standards, and health & safety compliance are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day operations on a new build residential development
  • Coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
  • Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site presentation
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and inspectors as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build housing projects
  • Valid SMSTS
  • CSCS (Black or Gold Card preferred)
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to drive programme and maintain quality standards
