About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Design Manager to join our growing construction team in Liverpool. Working across a variety of general construction projects, youll play a critical role in managing the design process from pre-construction through to delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methodologies and design coordination, and be comfortable working across multiple sectors and project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design process from tender stage through to handover.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure coordinated and practical designs.
- Drive design meetings and ensure timely release of design information.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements, budgets, and buildability.
- Identify design risks and work with project teams to resolve issues early.
- Support planning applications, technical submissions, and value engineering exercises.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator in the construction industry.
