Our client, a well-established main contractor based in Warrington, are seeking an experienced Technical Bid Writer to join our construction team, playing a pivotal role in developing high-quality, compelling bids and proposals that secure new projects. The successful candidate will work closely with business development, pre-construction, and technical teams to translate complex information into clear, persuasive content tailored to client requirements.
- Write, edit, and coordinate technical and non-technical content for bids, tenders, and PQQs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, project managers, and commercial teams to extract technical knowledge.
- Ensure consistency of tone, style, and branding across all documentation.
- Maintain and update the bid library with reusable content, case studies, and CVs.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Knowledge of public and private sector tender processes.
- Degree in English, Journalism, Business, Construction Management, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- APMP or equivalent bid writing/proposal management accreditation advantageous.
