We are partnering with an innovative SaaS Data business to find an exceptional Engineering Manager who can lead their talented software development team. This is a pivotal role within a company that is shaping the future of data solutions for financial services clients.
This is your opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced organisation where your leadership, technical expertise (Java, Spring Boot and AWS), and strategic insight will drive the delivery of mission-critical software solutions. You will work closely with a skilled Product Management team and experienced engineers to deliver a product that meets the demands of high-volume, high-reliability systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary software engineering teams to deliver outstanding results.
- Own and manage the software delivery roadmap, aligned with business priorities set by Product Management.
- Represent the engineering function internally and externally, ensuring customer-reported issues are addressed and supporting pre-sales, sales, and customer success teams.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to share best practices, components, and processes across the business.
- Ensure teams operate effectively, adhering to company policies and reporting requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing high-performing software development and QA teams.
- Strong technical background, with expertise in Java development, Spring Boot and AWS.
- Skilled at motivating and mentoring engineering teams, fostering growth and leadership development.
- A solid understanding of the financial services sector, including delivering mission-critical, high-volume, near real-time systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and represent the business to clients.
