We Are Care is seeking caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join a dedicated team supporting elderly individuals with dementia in a specialist nursing and dementia care setting.
This opportunity involves working within a well-established residential environment where empathy, consistency, and attentiveness are key. You will support residents with a mix of personal care, mobility, mealtime assistance, and companionship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to residents’ needs.
- Assist with personal hygiene, continence care, and dressing.
- Support during mealtimes including feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record observations accurately.
- Promote dignity, respect, and emotional reassurance.
- Engage residents in light activities or therapeutic routines.
- Escalate safeguarding or medical concerns as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 6 months’ experience in a care or support setting.
- Confidence in supporting individuals with dementia and elderly care needs.
- Mandatory care training completed within the last 12 months.
- Enhanced DBS check (on‑update service preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to care excellence.
- Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available.
