We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations within a manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for leadership, process optimization, and high-quality production standards.
Skills, Experience, and Education Required:
- Experience within a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading a Manufacturing / Production team, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001.
- Experience troubleshooting defects and optimising processes.
- Valid FLT license.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles (Desirable).
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery (Desirable).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production employees to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of plastic extrusion machinery.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with other departments (quality control, maintenance, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, safety updates, and key objectives.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members.
- Address any operational issues promptly and work towards effective resolutions.
- Ensure that production targets are met on time, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
