Graduate / Trainee / Junior Engineer Salary – Up to £29,000 Monday – Friday (Days) Droylsden BX2 are recruiting for a Junior / Trainee Engineer for a well-established client. You will shadow the Maintenance Manager on site with the vision of taking over the role in the future. Junior / Trainee Engineer * Formal qualification (Apprenticeship, BTEC, NVQ etc.) * Driving licence is essential due to travel being sites * Be able to demonstrate that you are flexible, dependable and have good time management. * Must be a team-player, but capable of working unsupervised and use own initiative when required. * Excellent communication skills consulting with colleagues and senior management. * Ambition and drive to increase your knowledge within the role. * Ability to work at heights via approved access equipment. Junior / Trainee Engineer Key Responsibilities and Duties * Support with varied maintenance work, priorities effectively and provide daily feedback. * Deal with emergencies, unplanned breakdowns, and repairs on all company sites. * Conduct routine maintenance work and safety inspections on all company equipment. * Respond to equipment faults in a timely manner. Ensuring minimum downtime. * Diagnose breakdown problems. Fit new parts where necessary and ensure equipment is working correctly to its optimum performance. * Ensure that basic facilities, such as water and heating are well-maintained and meet government and environmental health standards across all sites. * Routine testing of fire and security systems on all company sites. * Conduct daily & weekly checks and report outcomes to ensure smooth operation on all sites. * Follow the planned preventative maintenance schedule. * Actively adhere to the company health and safety policy when carrying out maintenance and repairs within the premises, ensuring that a safe working environment exists for all employees and visitors to sites
