We are recruiting for a growing and well-established construction company specialising in driveways, surfacing, and external works across the North West. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Contracts Supervisor to join our team.
This is a hands-on management role overseeing multiple live projects and site teams, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing approximately 10 live projects at any one time, supervising directly employed operatives and subcontractors across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day operations across multiple projects
- Supervising a workforce of approximately 11–12 staff plus subcontractors
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and schedules
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Carrying out regular site visits and quality checks
- Maintaining health & safety standards across all sites
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and management
- Problem solving and ensuring smooth project delivery
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in one or more of the following:
- Groundworks
- Civil Engineering
- Surfacing / Tarmac
- Driveways & External Works
You should also have:
- Previous experience managing multiple construction projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence
