We are BX2 Ltd are recruiting for an experienced CNC Woodworking Operator to support our client's busy manufacturing site in the Preston area. This role involves operating CNC woodworking machinery to machine MDF, chipboard and similar panel-based materials to precise specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of machining operations including drilling, routing, sawing and cutting. Experience operating CNC woodworking machinery is essential. Experience with HOMAG machinery and wood CAD/CAM software is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided on the specific machinery, software and production processes. Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC woodworking machinery safely and efficiently to produce components to the required specifications Machine MDF, chipboard and similar panel products using drilling, routing, sawing and cutting operations Read and understand production drawings, job sheets and measurements to ensure accuracy and consistency Set up machinery and select and load the correct CNC programmes Carry out basic tooling changes and routine machine checks Check finished components for accuracy and quality Identify and report any machining, tooling or quality issues Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 07:20am - 15:45pm Friday 07:20am - 14:20pm 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Benefits
Holiday Pay accrued in line with current statutory legislation Free parking Training provided on specific machinery, software and production processes Weekly pay - every Friday Requirements
Previous CNC woodworking operating experience is
essential Experience working with MDF, chipboard or similar panel products Ability to read and understand production drawings and work accurately to dimensions Understanding of CNC tooling and machine setup Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team HOMAG and woodWOP experience is advantageous but not essential CNC programming experience is not required as training will be provided Must have the legal right to work in the UK How to Apply
