Cook Responsibilities

The role of a Cook is central to the culinary operations at The Kingswood Kitchen. During Thursday cooking sessions, you will lead the charge, overseeing the preparation of up to 100 meals with the support of a dedicated team of kitchen assistants. Your responsibilities extend beyond cooking; they include menu development, cost analysis, and coordination with local suppliers, ensuring a well-rounded approach to kitchen management.

Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Assistant, you play a vital role in the behind-the-scenes magic of The Kingswood Kitchen. From food preparation and organizing deliveries to washing up and general cleaning, your contribution ensures the seamless flow of kitchen operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen are indispensable.

Our aim at The Kingswood Kitchen is simple: to ensure that everyone in our community can access good food. Customers enjoy our tasty meals, and you pay what they can. We suggest around £3 per meal. If customers are able to contribute a little extra, they're helping to cover someone else's meal cost and support BS15's other projects too!

In our kitchen, we cook up fresh meals using ingredients from local suppliers and fresh salad and veg grown in our own Trinity Food Garden. Every week, we've got a choice of one meat dish and one veggie dish. Customers can pick up their order on Thursdays between 4:30 to 6:30, or request delivery if they are in the BS15 area.
