Demand Generation Manager | B2B Events

£65,000 + 10% bonus | Putney, London | Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Know how to turn marketing activity into measurable growth? This could be your next move.

One of the world's leading global events businesses is looking for a Demand Generation Manager to accelerate growth across its B2B portfolio.

This isn't a role where you simply manage campaigns and report on clicks. You'll own the demand generation strategy, grow audiences across multiple channels and build scalable programmes that turn attention into qualified leads and commercial revenue.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll combine strategic ownership with hands‑on execution, manage a Demand Generation Executive and work closely with the wider marketing team to make sure every channel is pulling in the same direction.

The portfolio spans live events, memberships, directories and jobs, with a particular focus on the Defence and Security sector. You'll have multiple products to grow, new audiences to reach and plenty of opportunities to test, learn and improve.

What you'll be doing

Building demand and growing audiences

  • Own and execute the multi-channel demand generation strategy across paid media, organic search, social, partnerships and referrals.
  • Build scalable campaigns that increase traffic, grow audiences and generate high-quality leads across the portfolio.
  • Manage channel budgets, prioritising investment based on performance and commercial return.
  • Identify new opportunities to reach relevant audiences and generate demand.

Turning interest into revenue

  • Develop effective lead nurture programmes that keep prospects engaged and move them closer to conversion.
  • Work with campaign, brand and marketing operations teams to ensure leads are nurtured and handed over effectively.
  • Improve conversion across paid media, landing pages, email journeys and content distribution through testing and optimisation.

Making data work harder

  • Track and analyse performance across traffic, audience growth, engagement, cost per lead, conversion rates and customer acquisition cost.
  • Use data to identify trends, challenge underperforming activity and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Build a culture of experimentation, using testing and insight to continually improve results.

Leading and developing the team

  • Manage and develop a Demand Generation Executive, setting clear priorities and maintaining high standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver joined-up campaigns.
  • Share learnings, test new approaches and turn insights into action.

What we're looking for

  • A proven track record in B2B demand generation, developing multi-channel strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of channels such as paid media, organic search, social media, partnerships and referrals, with particular depth in two or three.
  • Experience growing audiences, generating leads and improving conversion against commercial targets.
  • A data-driven approach, using analytics, testing and performance insights to guide decisions.
  • Experience managing or developing people, with the confidence to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology, CRM and email automation. Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Microsoft Dynamics, GA4 or CRO tools would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to bring different teams together around shared goals.

Where could your experience come from?

B2B events experience would be useful, but it's not essential. Candidates from B2B technology businesses or marketing agencies could be equally well suited, provided they understand how to generate demand, build audiences and deliver commercial results.

The key is your demand generation expertise, not the industry on your CV.

This is a broad, multi-channel demand generation role, not a specialist Marketing Automation Manager position.

What's on offer?

  • £65,000 salary + 10% bonus
  • Hybrid working, with three days a week in the Putney office
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • End-of-year wellbeing shutdown and early Friday finishes during August
  • Private medical insurance and health cash plan
  • Pension scheme
  • Free on-site gym and shower facilities
  • Season ticket loan and Cycle to Work scheme
  • Mentoring programme, wellbeing support and quarterly paid volunteering days
  • An additional day of leave to celebrate an occasion of your choice

Interested?

If you're ready to take ownership of demand generation, lead a team and make a measurable difference to commercial growth, I'd love to hear from you.
