We are looking for an experienced leader to take full charge of the supply chain for a global B2B manufacturer. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead planning, purchasing, inventory, warehousing and logistics, making sure materials and finished goods flow effectively to meet production and customer requirements. Working closely with the transformation lead, you will identify improvement opportunities and make sure new systems and processes are embedded into business-as-usual operations.
The role:
- Lead day-to-day supply chain performance across planning, purchasing, inventory, warehousing and logistics, making sure priorities support production and customer requirements.
- Lead and develop the supply chain team, providing clear visibility of performance, priorities and risks.
- Run S&OP and the demand, supply and production planning process, aligning demand, supply, capacity and inventory.
- Maintain robust MRP processes and material availability, and identify and manage shortages, constraints and supply risks.
- Manage supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost and lead time, driving corrective action where it falls short and keeping visibility of supplier capacity and continuity risks.
- Improve cash flow by maintaining stock accuracy, optimising safety stock and lead times, improving stock turns and managing excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
- Oversee warehousing and logistics performance with a strong focus on delivering on time and in full, resolving issues that affect production or customer delivery.
- Establish and monitor clear supply chain KPIs, using data to drive improvements in service, cost, inventory and efficiency.
- Work with the transformation lead on larger improvement opportunities, embedding new systems, processes and ways of working into day-to-day operations.
- Make sure the business is operationally ready for new products and customers.
About you:
- Senior supply chain leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent senior leadership experience.
- Strong experience across planning, purchasing, inventory, warehousing and logistics.
- Strong S&OP, MRP and production planning capability, with strong ERP/MRP knowledge.
- Proven supplier and inventory management experience.
- Proven people leadership capability.
- SAP experience.
- Experience supporting a rapidly growing manufacturing business.
To reach the top of the salary range, you will be a proven supply chain operations leader with a strong track record across planning, purchasing, inventory and logistics in manufacturing, and the drive to deliver consistent service, cost and working-capital performance day to day.
