We are on the lookout for a Senior Account Manager to join an established agency to manage a high-profile portfolio within the professional membership, arts and culture, and higher education sectors. Supporting the Client Strategy Partner and Account Director, the successful candidate will drive digital transformation and web platform opportunities for some of the agency’s largest clients. This role requires 3-5 years of commercial experience and a sophisticated understanding of sector-specific needs, including revenue generation, ticketing, and audience strategies. The SAM will act as a strategic bridge, ensuring digital delivery aligns perfectly with the clients' overarching missions and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage client expectations to ensure a high-value, effective partnership while promptly addressing any service issues.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless project handovers and provide the necessary foundations for team success.
  • Oversee support activities to ensure all requests are acknowledged and resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for project or support concerns, resolving issues internally or escalating them further when necessary.
  • Work with the Account Director to ensure Statements of Work accurately define requirements, budgets, and timelines prior to client sign-off.
  • Manage contractual obligations and mitigate risks, including oversight of third-party partners and contractors.
  • Maintain the financial health of accounts by monitoring project margins and overall profitability.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs beyond day-to-day tasks to support their broader organisational goals.
  • Identify networking opportunities and industry events to promote the agency brand and expand the portfolio.

About you:

  • Proven background as a Senior Account Manager within a digital agency, specifically serving membership organisations, visitor attractions, or higher education.
  • Exceptional ability to listen, negotiate, and influence key stakeholders through professional presentations and written communication.
  • Confident in financial planning, budget reporting, and maintaining account profitability.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities with high attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks or opportunities.
  • The upper end of the salary range is reserved for candidates with extensive experience across the full digital lifecycle, including SEO, UX best practices, backlog management, and the coordination of localized content for international teams.
