Internal Communications Partner
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £43,000 - £48,000 (plus benefits)

Are you an Internal Communications professional who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and making a real impact? Do you like having ownership and being the go-to person for all things internal comms? As this SME continues to grow and evolve, they’re looking for an Internal Communications Partner to take ownership of internal communications across the organisation. This is a standalone role, sitting within the HR team, where you’ll shape how information is shared, messages land, and colleagues stay connected.
The role
Reporting into HR, you’ll be responsible for delivering clear, engaging internal communications that support day-to-day operations and business priorities. This is a hands-on role where you’ll plan, create and deliver communications yourself, rather than managing others.
Your work will include:
- Owning and delivering internal communications across the business
- Translating business updates into clear, practical messages for a regionally dispersed workforce
- Supporting change, operational updates and people initiatives with effective communications
- Managing internal channels such as emails, briefings, newsletters and digital platforms
- Working closely with HR and senior leaders to ensure consistent, timely messaging
- Using data and insights to demonstrate the impact of comms programmes
- Ownership of the annual engagement survey from a roll out and analysis of results perspective, along with working with HR team to develop resulting action plans
About you
This role would suit someone who has spent a few years honing their craft and is now ready to take ownership and build something. You’ll bring:
- Experience in an internal communications, engagement or employee communications role
- A practical, straightforward communication style, clear beats corporate
- Confidence working with both office and site based colleagues
- Strong writing skills and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
