If you’re an Employee Relations specialist who thrives in complexity, pace and change this is the kind of role that will stretch and reward you. We’re looking for an experienced ER Manager / Team Leader to head up a busy, high-performing ER function within a fast-moving environment. This isn’t a policy-heavy advisory post. It’s hands-on, high-volume, and commercially critical.

You’ll lead from the front, guiding your team through complex, sensitive and often high-risk cases while building capability across the wider business.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a team of ER Advisors handling a large caseload of complex employee relations matters
  • Providing expert guidance on disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and investigations
  • Being an escalation point for high-risk and senior-level cases end-to-end
  • Ensuring robust, legally compliant decision-making in line with current UK employment law
  • Coaching and upskilling stakeholders to improve confidence and capability in managing people issues
  • Driving consistency, best practice and continuous improvement across ER processes
  • Using data to provide insights and actionable recommendations to the business
What We’re Looking For
  • Deep, demonstrable Employee Relations expertise in a complex setting
  • Strong, up-to-date UK employment law knowledge
  • Experience leading and developing an ER team
  • Confidence managing high-risk and complex cases independently
  • The ability to influence, challenge and coach senior stakeholders
  • A calm, pragmatic approach under pressure
  • A mindset focused on improvement, not just case management

If you’re ready to step into a leadership role where your ER expertise makes a real commercial impact, we’d love to hear from you. Please note this is a mostly site based role (c4 days on-site), with some flex. To achieve the top of the salary range you must demonstrate significant ER and employment law knowledge, coupled with team leadership experience.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion are integral to everything that we do. We are committed to these values and they are central to our mission. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities, and we are more than happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments that you may require.
