Who is the business? The UK division of a global group, they are well established within their specialist markets with a strong market share and ambitions for growth.
What is the role? With a number of locations across the UK, this HRBP role will provide strong operational HR support to the leadership at four locations in the West Midlands. This will include support and management of ER cases (with the support of a central services team) and embedding of process and policy, along with local execution of business wide projects and programmes. You will provide strong coaching support to Managers, ensuring they feel confident and competent in leading their teams and delivering business critical messaging, along with ensuring things run smoothly from an operational perspective. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in L&D programmes if you have an interest, such as succession and talent planning at a local level. Ultimately the ambition of the HR team is to move towards true, strategic business partnering, however for the short to medium term the priorities are focused on building strong and consistent foundations.
Who are we looking for? We are seeking a strong, operational HR generalist with sound employment law knowledge and experience in managing ER casework in a heavily industrial environment such as manufacturing. You will be highly diligent and thorough in your work, with the ability to build relationships at leadership level and demonstrate credibility as a HR Business Partner. This could suit someone stepping up from a Senior HR Advisor role, or someone looking to build on their existing HR BP experience in a pacy and complex environment. The role will support four locations in the West Midlands area, with an onsite presence of 3-4 days per week, so you must be comfortable travelling between sites (which are relatively close to each other) and will ideally live in the WM area. To achieve the top end of the salary range, you must demonstrate significant experience of handling ER cases in an operational environment such as manufacturing.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion are integral to everything that we do. We are committed to these values, and they are central to our mission. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities, and we are more than happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments that you may require.
