About The Role
The Business Development Manager (MGA/Broker/Credit Repair) is responsible for establishing and retaining business growth opportunities in the MGA, broker and credit repair markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Attract, develop and secure new business, with a particular focus on the MGA, broker and credit repair markets.
- Proactively identify and contact new business opportunities to arrange introductory meetings and follow up with appropriate proposals.
- Proactively identify and contact growth within opportunities, working in collaboration with the Business Development team to co-ordinate presentations as part of review meetings or set aside time for specific new business led meetings, and follow up with appropriate proposals.
- Plan and prepare presentations targeted to the audience, including researching the potential customers' business and individuals to demonstrate knowledge and commitment.
- Present new products and opportunities to existing and potential customers.
- Support tender/bid/RFQ/RFI processes.
- Effectively use data to analyse performance, identify trends and provide benchmarking and market/customer sector insight.
- Facilitate potential customer site visits and presentations.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to network with potential customers, increase industry knowledge and develop new markets, improving sales.
- Work with the Marketing team to produce sales and marketing collateral.
- Work with the Implementation team to support the delivery of successful new business wins, effectively managing customer expectations.
- Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships to retain and renew contracts.
Skills And Experience
- Strong understanding of the UK motor insurance and accident management market, with a specific focus on the MGA, broker and credit repair sectors.
- Significant previous experience of delivering significant growth in a business development role.
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced working culture.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative and collaboratively in a team/project environment.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong data analysis skillset, including MS Excel proficiency.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop, refine and negotiate commercial propositions.
