WDSportz is building a reliable network of freelance football videographers who can film local grassroots and Sunday League matches across East London and Essex. Recruit videographers with their own camera gear, match them to pitches near their location, and pay £30 per match.

Capture the real energy of grassroots football. WDSportz is building the leading digital media platform for Sunday League and grassroots football. We’re looking for freelance football videographers who can film matches in their local area using:

  • their own HD/4K camera OR
  • a high-quality smartphone capable of continuous sports filming.

You’ll be assigned fixtures close to your postcode, filming full matches for our livestream and on-demand platform. This role is perfect for film/media students, freelance videographers, content creators, and football lovers who want consistent weekend work and a strong creative portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Film full football matches (90 minutes) using your own camera or smartphone + tripod.
  • Capture steady, wide-angle footage throughout the match.
  • Upload full raw footage after the game via Google Drive or Dropbox.
  • Optional: edit match highlights (scoreboard, teamsheets, lower thirds).
  • Communicate availability weekly with the WDSportz coordination team.

Equipment Requirements:

Applicants must own either:

  • Option A - Camera Setup: A camera that records continuously for at least 90 minutes (no 30-min clip limit), tripod or monopod, enough storage (32–64GB recommended).
  • Option B - Phone Setup: Your phone must meet ALL of the following: records 1080p or 4K at a stable 30fps or 60fps, can record continuously for 90 minutes without overheating or splitting the video, used with a tripod mount (no handheld filming), sufficient storage (15–30GB free).

Footage must be stable, wide, and professional — shaky or zoomed-in handheld footage will not be accepted.

Schedule:

  • Mostly Sundays, Saturdays and occasional Midweek matches.
  • Each assignment lasts 2–2.5 hours including setup.
  • You’ll be assigned matches within 20 minutes of your location.
