We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in premium hospitality, expert cocktail knowledge, and a strong understanding of wine service and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the bar to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to maintain exceptional service standards
  • Create and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate advanced mixology skills with extensive knowledge of classic cocktails
  • Oversee and manage a wine programme featuring up to 100 wines
  • Maintain strong knowledge of wine service, pairings, storage, and presentation
  • Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and service standards
  • Oversee stock management, ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships
  • Monitor and control labour costs to achieve operational targets
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues effectively
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology and classic cocktails
  • Strong understanding of wines and experience overseeing a premium wine list
  • Experience in managing wine inventories of up to 100 labels
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Experience managing stock control and bar inventory systems
  • Proven understanding of labour cost management and profitability
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest service
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment
