We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in premium hospitality, expert cocktail knowledge, and a strong understanding of wine service and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the bar to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to maintain exceptional service standards
- Create and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate advanced mixology skills with extensive knowledge of classic cocktails
- Oversee and manage a wine programme featuring up to 100 wines
- Maintain strong knowledge of wine service, pairings, storage, and presentation
- Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and service standards
- Oversee stock management, ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships
- Monitor and control labour costs to achieve operational targets
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues effectively
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of mixology and classic cocktails
- Strong understanding of wines and experience overseeing a premium wine list
- Experience in managing wine inventories of up to 100 labels
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Experience managing stock control and bar inventory systems
- Proven understanding of labour cost management and profitability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest service
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment
