About the role: As a Senior Assets Surveyor, your manager will be our Surveying Operations Manager. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford. As the Senior Assets Surveyor, you will be part of a small team of Senior Asset Surveyors and will be responsible for leading and developing a team of asset surveyors providing surveying functions for Vico Homes. Key areas covered include delivery of property surveying, management of property-related insurance claims, stock condition surveys, and surveying and work to our non-traditional and high-rise buildings.
It is an exciting time to be joining us and here are some of the initiatives that you will be involved in:
- Helping to develop and deliver the internalisation of stock/component surveying
- Leading on working with partners to deliver timely completions on Insurance property claims, home improvement applications, Investment stock condition surveys, and High-rise Building compliance
- Working with partners to survey and check Vico Homes' Prefabricated portfolio of non-traditional properties
What you'll do:
- Use your interpersonal and past experience of leadership skills to support your team of surveyors to plan and organise the work they are responsible for ensuring it is integrated and coordinated in line with broad operational plans
- Provide leadership and take decisions within your area of expertise that can be of a complex nature
- Manage service delivery to meet individual and team KPIs
- Become a key part of Vico Homes' Property and Building Safety leadership team developing our service area
What we're looking for:
- A construction-related qualification such as HNC, CIOB or Diploma in Asset Management or Level 4 of the Framework for Higher Education Qualification
- Experience of leading and developing teams of professional surveyors including evidence of negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence change in others
- Extensive experience of undertaking residential building surveys providing fault identification and specifying diagnosing remedial works
- Experience managing programmes of undertaking residential building surveys to assess and record component condition data for stock condition reports and planning future investment schemes
