Your role as an Interviewer/Assessor is to guide and nurture candidates applying to the British Army through the assessment process in an unbiased, friendly and controlled environment.
As an Interviewer/Assessor You will be responsible for the implementation of both physical and psychometric assessment activities under strict test conditions. The application of a detailed marking guide to ensure candidates are graded in accordance with their ability.
This role will involve working a shift pattern of 37.5 hours per week over a 7-day period. This will include overnight chaperone and 'on call' duties once per week.
Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
- Briefing and delivering all cognitive assessment activities under test conditions
- Contributing to an un-biased test environment for all assessment activities
- Assessing candidates against fixed criteria
- Providing feedback on a candidate's performance at assessment, their assessment outcome and their next steps in the recruitment process
- Conducting individual career discussions with candidates
- Writing accurate reports to assist recruiters and Basic Training Instructors to understand the candidate's strengths and weaknesses

- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- The ability to nurture and mentor candidates
- Excellent Team Player
- Familiarity with Army Careers, would be an advantage
- Organised approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Good MS Office skills
