WCS Care operates 13 care homes across Warwickshire supporting older people, including those living with dementia. We are recruiting a Head of Facilities to lead the maintenance and property function across our homes.
Unlike many facilities roles, this is a genuinely local post with travel limited across Warwickshire. You will work closely with Home Managers, care teams and residents in warm, lived in environments where your work has an immediate and visible impact.
You will lead a small maintenance team, coordinate contractors, manage maintenance programmes and respond to day to day property issues. From planned refurbishment to unexpected leaks, you will help ensure our buildings quietly support care rather than disrupt it.
Alongside core estate responsibilities you will support environmental and innovation programmes including solar rollout, circadian lighting and acoustic night monitoring, projects recognised nationally and internationally for improving residents' wellbeing and sleep.
This is a supported leadership role. We are not looking for perfection on day one, we are looking for sound practical judgement, reliability and someone who takes pride in finishing a job properly. Our homes are people's homes, not building sites, so how work is carried out matters as much as the technical outcome.
You will work in partnership with experienced care professionals whose focus is residents. Success in the role depends on collaboration, respect and clear communication, translating technical issues into practical solutions that help staff care safely and confidently.
The role would suit an experienced facilities supervisor, building services coordinator or maintenance manager ready to step into a senior position with strong organisational support. In return you will have autonomy, visible backing from senior leadership, and the satisfaction of knowing your work genuinely improves residents' daily lives.
Full time, permanent based in Kenilworth with travel across Warwickshire.
Role purpose: The Facilities manager leads the operational property and maintenance function across WCS Care Group. The post holder ensures buildings, systems and environments are safe, compliant, well maintained and supportive of high quality care.
The role combines hands on estate management, leadership of the maintenance team, contractor coordination and support to organisational projects. The post holder translates operational need into practical solutions, maintaining high standards while responding quickly to issues that arise within a live care environment.
The role supports both the immediate needs of residents and staff and the long term development of the estate.
