We’re looking for a motivated Developer Operations Engineer to join our growing team. Our digital platforms don’t chase scale—they support high-impact environmental policy. The systems you’ll run will help shape real-world decisions about nature and climate. Reliability, security and trust are critical.

This role is unique as it offers the opportunity for your expertise in engineering to have a meaningful and tangible global impact. You’ll join our Digital Transformation team to manage and evolve the infrastructure behind a portfolio of web applications used by global policy actors. This is a hands-on DevOps role spanning cloud and on-prem environments. You will report directly to the Senior DevOps engineer and work closely with developers to ensure that services are stable and secure.

Our core stack includes Linux, Ruby on Rails, WordPress, NuxtJS, PostgreSQL, running across Azure, AWS and Proxmox, with tooling around CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), containerisation and monitoring (Zabbix).

In this role, you will take ownership of reliable, secure production environments. You will support deployments through well-designed CI/CD pipelines and automation. You will ensure effective monitoring and be responsible for incident response. You will also manage databases, backups and disaster recovery processes, while collaborating with developers to continuously improve delivery, architecture and operational workflows.

We’re looking for someone comfortable operating across infrastructure, deployment and day-to-day operations, with strong Linux and cloud experience (Azure and/or AWS), and a solid grounding in modern application hosting, automation and DevOps practices. An ideal candidate will value reliability, security and simplicity and bring a collaborative approach, helping guide and support development teams in building robust and maintainable systems.

Please note we require a CV, Cover Letter and Application Form for this role. This position is not suitable for visa sponsorship. This is not a United Nations Post.
