Requirements

  • Holding a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

About The Nursery

Our nursery is beautifully situated in front of the River Colne, offering stunning views and a natural environment full of wildlife. Children love making the most of this unique setting, spotting birds and animals on walks or observing nature through the windows with their binoculars. We also offer a mobile library that visits the nursery regularly, giving children the opportunity to exchange books and enjoy a wide variety of texts, nurturing a love for reading from an early age. For our preschool children, we offer Super Star Sports sessions where they develop essential physical skills in a fun and engaging way. We have three rooms: the Baby Room (0–2 years), Toddler Room (2–3 years), and Preschool Room (3–5 years).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
  • Support the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
  • Act as a role model, promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
  • Oversee team implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
  • Take charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager's absence.
  • Encourage continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child's needs.
