Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Pay: £27,144 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: Full‑time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday – shifts between 8 am–5 pm and 9 am–6 pm.

Location: Sandhills Day Nursery, Boston – West Business Park, Sleaford Road, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 8EG.

About Our Nursery

Our beautiful Boston nursery has three main home‑from‑home play rooms, providing a safe and nurturing surrounding for all children, and staffed by a team of long‑serving nursery practitioners who make our nursery such a special place. Outdoor play holds great importance at Sandhills Boston, with all rooms having their own individual garden as well as a large, shared garden with wooden play equipment where the children can play with other age groups. We are conveniently located in central Boston, near to the bus and train stations and close to road links with a large, secure car park in front of the main building.

What Being a Nursery Room Leader Involves

• Leading and mentoring the team to provide high‑quality early years education with passion and energy.
• Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
• Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
• Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
• Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
• Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
• Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
