As an Early Years Apprentice, you will be part of a supportive team, learning while making a positive impact in children's lives. You will dedicate 20% of your week to training, with the remainder spent gaining hands-on experience in a vibrant, nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a warm, fun, and safe space where children thrive.
  • Engaging children in play-based activities inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Supporting children's developmental milestones and keeping parents informed with updates.
  • Assisting with daily routines, maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and care.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer, who will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to upskill in your role. You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise. The position is for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts to be agreed at the offer stage.
