Join our team at Apricot Preschool and make a lasting impact on children’s lives. We are looking for a passionate Assistant Nursery Manager to support our Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and education.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Prior leadership experience in an early years setting (Assistant Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager).
- Unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

- £31,200 per annum (40 hours per week).

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education.
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
- Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
- Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within the team.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.
