Join our team at Apricot Preschool and make a lasting impact on children’s lives. We are looking for a passionate Assistant Nursery Manager to support our Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and education.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Prior leadership experience in an early years setting (Assistant Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager).
  • Unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay & Working Hours

  • £31,200 per annum (40 hours per week).
  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 6pm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education.
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within the team.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.
