What You’ll Do:
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Weston County Health Services (WCHS)
- Delegates assignments and provides supervision for the support staff.
- Works with medical providers to ensure the quality of resident care.
- Submits incident/accident reports as required
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications to residents and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Records resident vital signs and medical information.
- Orders medical diagnostic and clinical tests as required.
- Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in resident conditions.
- Administers non-intravenous medications as required.
- Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates resident nursing care plans.
- Modifies resident health treatment plans as indicated by resident conditions and responses.
- Answers resident calls promptly and determines the best course of action to support them.
- Provides physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Turning and repositioning bedridden residents as required.
- Ensures residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
- Obtaining a wide range of information regarding resident condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities as needed.
- Measures and records food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or charge nursing staff.
- Examines residents to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
- Reminds residents to take medication and nutritional supplements as required.
- Notes observations of resident behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms to charge nurses.
What We’re Looking For:
- Wyoming State Licensed Registered Nurse
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology and processes.
- Has and maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Willing to take after-hours calls and work holidays and weekends, as assigned.
