Are you passionate about horticulture and looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? Warwickshire College Group (WCG) is looking for a Gardener to join our team, based at Moreton Morrell College and supporting our Leamington and Rugby sites.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining lawns, grassland, shrubs, rose beds and ornamental areas
- Pruning, planting, weeding and general horticultural maintenance
- Supporting turf care, including mowing, aeration, scarification and repairs
- Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance machinery
- Supporting hard landscaping projects, including fencing, paving and decking
- Maintaining interior planting and keeping grounds clean and welcoming
- Working as part of a friendly, professional grounds team
What we’re looking for:
- Experience using grass-cutting machinery and knowledge of its applications
- A current clean driving licence and access to your own transport
- Good knowledge of plants and their maintenance
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to health, safety, safeguarding and high standards of work
Desirable: FEPA spraying certificates (PA1 + PA6).
