Location: Carnforth

Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport & Compliance Supervisor to support the day-to-day management of transport operations across multiple depots. This hands-on role combines driver leadership, fleet oversight, training, and regulatory compliance, ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with Operator License and legal requirements. Working alongside the Head of Compliance, the role helps maintain the effective implementation of transport policies, procedures and compliance controls across the operation.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Driver Leadership
    • Lead, support, and manage drivers across multiple depots
    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance
    • Promote driver engagement, wellbeing, and a safety culture
    • Ensure compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Directive
  • Fleet & Vehicle Management
    • Ensure vehicle safety, maintenance, and compliance standards are met
    • Manage defect reporting, servicing, MOTs, and inspections
    • Coordinate repairs and respond to breakdowns
  • Training & Compliance
    • Deliver driver inductions, training, and assessments
    • Maintain Driver CPC and training records
    • Support Operator Licence compliance, audits, and regulatory standards
    • Monitor KPIs and performance data to drive continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a transport, fleet, or logistics supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle, depot, and transport operations
  • Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
  • CPC qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Experience using KPIs, data, and performance metrics
  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and operational systems
