Company Description
WCC | Commercial Vehicle Specialists has been building, repairing, painting, and branding commercial vehicles for over 30 years. We’re a one-stop workshop handling everything from precision HGV repair to standout vehicle graphics — all done fully in-house. Our team delivers quality, speed, and consistency without compromise. We work with tradespeople, hauliers, independents, and national fleets, treating every vehicle with the same level of care.
Role Description
We’re looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer with a Passion for Vehicles who wants to make their mark.
This is a rare chance to take creative control and push the boundaries of vehicle design. Most commercial wraps are forgettable: we want to do things differently. You’ll work from briefs we provide, with guidance and advice from Christian, our Graphics Manager, on how designs translate to vehicle liveries. Our goal is to put out the best, most eye-catching work we can, and your designs will be seen on vans, trucks, and commercial vehicles across the UK.
This role is purely creative. Christian handles the technical application. We want someone ambitious, hungry, and ready to prove themselves, with work that will be photographed, credited, and showcased across our website and socials.
Rate: £200 per approved design
Type: Freelance, remote (occasional visits to our West Midlands workshop)
Responsibilities
- Develop bold, original vehicle design concepts from creative briefs
- Turn ideas into production-ready artwork in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
- Collaborate with the team and Christian, our Graphics Manager, to ensure designs work in the real world
- Push creative boundaries while keeping designs practical and visually impactful
Qualifications
- Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio showing bold, concept-driven work
- Passion for vehicles, automotive culture, or industrial/transport design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Ambitious, eager to prove themselves, and excited to get visible, real-world work
- Vehicle wrap experience is not required — creativity, passion, and drive are what matter most
What You’ll Get
- £200 per approved wrap design
- Full creative freedom within guided briefs
- Professional photography and video of your work for your portfolio
- Credit on WCC’s website and social channels
- The chance to see your designs driving across the UK, standing out on real vehicles
