We are hiring a full-time or part-time Commercial Property Lawyer to join our team in Torquay. You will be responsible for delivering excellent service to your clients. Your role will include:
- Undertaking a variety of property work for commercial landlords and tenants including joint venture work, retail projects, leisure projects and acquisitions of development sites for commercial and mixed-use.
- Advising on commercial contracts.
- Building and growing client and referrer relationships.
- Portfolio sales and acquisitions.
- Business transfer work (i.e. restaurants & guest houses etc).
- Project management.
- Working with other related internal disciplines where needed.
- Active participation in marketing activity.
- Managing your own files and maintaining Lexcel compliance at all times.
Skills and Knowledge: Candidates should have commercial market awareness with a minimum of 2 years working as a Property Lawyer on their own commercial matters independently. General experience of commercial law will be essential, specialised knowledge would be advantageous, however support and supervision to develop this knowledge will be available.
The Candidate: We are looking for someone with excellent technical skills. Candidates should be motivated and keen to assist our growing commercial team and its clients. The ability to work on your own and collaboratively as situations demand will be important to the role. You will need to be an enthusiastic and driven candidate. There are opportunities for the right candidate to build and lead a team with associate or partnership prospects available. Networking and attending external events will be a regular expectation.
