Role Summary

You will form part of the SSAS Operations Team in a key senior and subject matter expert role, delivering excellent technical and service outcomes for a portfolio of complex, sensitive, and high profile SSAS clients and their intermediaries. As a senior member of the team, you will be relied upon to support, guide and train staff to assist the ongoing development, upskilling and overall competency of SSAS Client Associates. You will be expected to contribute to the efficiencies of some of the more complex tasks and processes, playing an active role in delivering continual improvement strategies. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that SSAS procedures and policies are maintained and standardised and operating systems support business efficiencies and an enhanced client experience. The role requires you to promote, embed and role model company cultures and behaviours and actively contribute to WBR group being a great place to work.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of individual clients and their advisers and actively engage with all parties to forge strong personal relationships and achieve the best possible customer outcomes.
  • Accountable for all aspects of scheme administration, relating to an allocated client portfolio, being completed to high quality standards and within agreed internal and external timeframes.
  • Independently manage own workload, using the operating systems in the way agreed by the business.
  • Ensure scheme data across all operation systems is full and accurate to mitigate risk and support system improvements.
  • Ownership of distressed or failed assets across all schemes and production of associated MI.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of internal and external regulatory process requirements and responsible for adherence to these.
  • Oversee regulatory events and submissions, ensuring the department fulfils HMRC requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Contribute to enhancing internal operating systems to achieve business efficiencies and superior client service.
  • Lead SME groups, ensuring SMEs are monitoring their subjects and ongoing cases regularly.
  • Conduct quality checking, verifying and auditing.
  • Identify skill gaps and proactively address these and/or escalate as appropriate.
  • Point of referral for Client Associates in Team Manager absence, also chairing team meetings and attending HOD meetings, when required.
  • Assist with and answer technical support questions and act as Gatekeeper for referrals to the Technical Team.
  • Proactively reach out to customers that have displayed dissatisfaction and diffuse potential formal complaints, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collate accurate timelines, conduct full investigation and draft FRLs for sign off, in response to client complaints, adhering to WBR Groups complaints process.
  • Role model the core values of the business, Professionalism, Excellence, Empathy and Respect and challenge staff not adhering to these behaviours.
