The Paralegal provides administrative support to the legal department, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the office. This role includes managing documentation, scheduling, communication, and other administrative duties that support the legal team in delivering high-quality legal services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and organise property law files, both electronic and paper, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily retrievable.
  • Project administration.
  • Assist in preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence and reports.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls and mail.
  • Act as a point of contact between the legal department and internal/external clients, managing enquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate meetings and appointments for the Law team, as required.
  • Conduct basic legal research and gather information relevant to cases and legal matters.
  • Summarise findings and provide reports to Law team as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all legal matters and sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the management of documents and communication.
  • Provide administrative support during audits, investigations, and other legal activities.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety Guidelines as set out in the Health & Safety Management System document.
  • Demonstrate behaviours in line with our Company Values ‘PEER’.
  • Ensure compliance with our Company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
