Role Summary
You will be involved in a wide range of commercial property legal work under appropriate supervision, including acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases (landlord and tenant) and re-financing work.
Key Accountabilities
- To work to a consistently high level and to provide an excellent level of client service and care.
- Competent financial management and commercial awareness.
- Managing a caseload of live client matters
- Working on acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases (landlord and tenant) and re-financing work
- Drafting and negotiating sale contracts, transfer deeds, leases and licences, security documents etc
- Assisting the Pension, Tax and other teams within WBR Group with the retention of existing clients and development of new client relationships.
- To always ensure that you maintain your own up to date technical expertise.
- To deliver practical, commercially focused advice.
- To be accountable for your own personal development and to continuously develop interpersonal and soft skills.
- To always be competent in accordance with SRA competence standards.
- To carry out any other such reasonable tasks that may be required from time to time.
- Comply with the Health & Safety Guidelines as set out in the Health & Safety Management System document
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with our Company Values ‘PEER’
- Ensure compliance with our Company policies, procedures and guidelines
- The role may be subject to credit & DBS checks
Skills and Experience
- Not less than 6 months post qualification experience (PQE) in residential or commercial conveyancing.
- Commercial acumen and understanding.
- The ability to run and manage your own matters with appropriate support and supervision.
- The ability to meet client expectations and sound matter management skills.
- Good IT skills, experience, and confidence with using case management systems and general Microsoft packages.
- To be a self-starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Comply with the Health & Safety Guidelines as set out in the Health & Safety Management System document.
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with our Company Values ‘PEER’.
- Ensure compliance with our Company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or legal executive.
