WB Power Services is looking for Generator Service Engineers to join our team during an exciting period of growth. The Role

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of diesel generator sets.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot control panel issues, including replacing components when necessary.
  • Conduct Load Banking and mains failure testing in line with customer needs.
  • Source and order parts required for maintenance and repairs.
  • Stay up to date with training and industry developments to enhance technical skills.
  • Complete and submit detailed service reports promptly.
  • Schedule and coordinate repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
  • Work closely with the internal service team to maintain effective communication and teamwork.

The Person

  • Time-served generator engineer or qualified to NVQ Level 3.
  • Generator experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical components, including engines and alternators.
  • Willing to work overtime, including mid-week, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rota when required.
  • Capable of completing and understanding risk assessments.
  • Experience in a mobile engineering role is beneficial.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Comfortable dealing with a wide range of customers across different industries.
